Billings downs Great Falls in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Billings Bulls' Cody Phillips scored 1:18 into overtime to beat the Great Falls Americans, 4-3 (OT).

Great Falls' power play was ineffective against Billings' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Bulls were paced by Phillips, who racked up one goal and one assist.

Billings stifled the Americans' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls kept Great Falls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Erik Powell made 32 saves on 36 shots.

Billings additionally got points from T J Theodosopoulos, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Billings also had goals scored by Sam Orth and Stephen Thompson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Billings received assists from Ralfs Karelis, Orri Haman, and Nik Nasby, who contributed one a piece.

Billings was unable to stop the Americans from sending pucks towards the net, and Great Falls eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. The Americans could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Great Falls was helped by Aaron McInnis, who finished with one goal. McInnis scored 18:25 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Great Falls. Others who scored for Great Falls included Cody Page and Tanner Doty, who each put in one. More assists for Great Falls came via Austin Krantz, Reed Link, Brady Christiaens, and Connor Barta, who each chipped in one.

Daniel Oordt made 40 saves for the Bulls on 43 shots. Billings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
