Karelis' big game bests Bozeman in 4-0 Billings win

Ralfs Karelis had two goals and one assist to lead the Billings Bulls to a 4-0 victory over the Bozeman Icedogs.

Karelis scored at 7:30 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Billings and again while on the power play 9:24 into the third to make the score 4-0 Billings.

Billings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Bozeman power plays. The Bulls kept Bozeman's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Skop made 34 saves on 38 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Billings also had goals scored by Sam Orth and Stephen Thompson, who scored one goal each. More assists for Billings came via Dexter Nealy, who had two and T J Theodosopoulos, Josh Pena, Elijah Dutton, and Tristen Heinrichs, who contributed one a piece.

The Icedogs' offense operated below they season average. Bozeman averages 2.5 goals per game.

isaac tjaden rejected 17 shots on goal for Billings. The Bulls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Icedogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
