Helena holds on for 3-2 win against Glacier

The Helena Bighorns survived a determined comeback attempt by Glacier on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Logan Henne put Helena up 3-0 in the first period, but Glacier pulled to within one on Chris Cutshall's tally 5:45 into the third period.

Henne had a great game for the Bighorns, netting two goals.

Helena did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Bighorns put an average of 6.1 pucks into the net per game. Helena forced Glacier goalie Pierre Gustafsson to work between the pipes, taking 75 shots.

Dylan Webster also scored for Helena. More assists for Helena came via Addison Wells, Parker Olson, Austin Loes, Corbin Belling, Sebastian Hansson, and Brian Skillicorn, who each chipped in one.

Glacier was helped by Padraic Ripple, who had one goal. Ripple scored on the power play 9:52 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Helena. Glacier had gained a power play chance when Connor Dunn was whistled for head contact. Adam Dalton provided the assist. In addition, Glacier received assists from Tanner Dodd and Paul Kinder, who contributed one a piece.

The Bighorns' Alek Lazarski stopped 15 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Helena incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Gustafsson recorded 72 saves for Glacier. Glacier incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
