Gillette rolls over Glacier, 3-0Campbell County Ice Arena Sat, Nov 30, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Gillette Wild were firing on all cylinders against Glacier, and when the final buzzer sounded Wild emerged with a 3-0 win. Gillette was paced by Darren Banks, who tallied one goal. Banks scored 19 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Gillette. Alex King assisted on the tally. The Wild's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Glacier power plays. Gillette featured an improved defense during the game. The Wild average 2.7 goals allowed per game. Gillette's offense rang up 68 shots on Glacier's net. Gillette also got points from King, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Gillette also got a goal from Brandon Miller as well. In addition, Gillette received assists from Andrii Istominov, who had two and Nick Mead and Moco Willis, who contributed one a piece. Glacier stifled the Wild's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Glacier was held below its usual level of production. Glacier puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Glacier could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Gillette's Michael Kitts stopped 22 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Wild incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Pierre Gustafsson rejected 65 shots on goal for Glacier.
