Bozeman falls to Glacier in overtime, 5-4 (OT)Haynes Pavillion Fri, Nov 08, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Glacier pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Bozeman Icedogs on a clutch goal by Jonas Svehn. Although Glacier was up by as many as two goals in the third period, Bozeman kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Icedogs pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Gunnar Mogck at 18:10 in the third period. Padraic Ripple was all over the ice for Glacier, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Ripple scored the first of his two goals at 2:39 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Chris Cutshall assisted on the tally. Ripple's next tally made the score 3-2 Glacier with 8:57 left in the second period. Cutshall picked up the assist. Glacier racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and two majors for 38 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 31.0 minutes per game Glacier had been spending in the box. Glacier additionally got points from Cutshall, who also registered one goal and three assists. Glacier also got a goal from Karson Frisk as well. More assists for Glacier came via Tyler Latimer, who had two and Corbin Emery, Tanner Dodd, and Adam Dalton, who each chipped in one. Bozeman was often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. The Icedogs surpassed its season average of 29.0 penalty minutes per game. Bozeman forced Glacier goalie Ethan Wiese to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Bozeman also got points from Ryan Erickson, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Bozeman received assists from Kegan Couture, who had two and Chase Engdahl and Garret Bryan, who contributed one a piece. Glacier's Wiese stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Glacier registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Glacier ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Fernandez was ejected from the game. The Icedogs took out Chance Turner after he had made 13 saves and installed Zach Skop in goal, where he finished with 11 saves and the loss. Bozeman registered one goal on eight power play opportunities.
