The Great Falls Americans almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Yellowstone Quake managed to pull out a 4-3 win in the end. Yellowstone led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Quake's Dong Seo's scored at 4:19 in the third period to put Yellowstone up 5-2. Jimmy Tich was all over the ice for the Quake, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Tich scored 3:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Yellowstone. Tommy Toohey picked up the assist. Yellowstone pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes. The Quake forced Great Falls goalie Evan Hauser to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Yellowstone also got points from Mike McCullen, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Yellowstone included Mitchell Fehd and Trent Carter, who each put in one. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Josh Neumann, who had two and Sawyer Scanlan and Cosimo Yapello, who each chipped in one. Yellowstone was unable to stop the Americans from sending pucks towards the net, and Great Falls eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. The Americans could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game. Great Falls was helped by Zachary Mese, who grabbed one goal. Mese scored 14:54 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Yellowstone. Cody Page provided the assist. Great Falls additionally got points from Page, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Great Falls also got a goal from Lucas Lomax as well. More assists for Great Falls came via Brady Christiaens and Aaron McInnis, who contributed one a piece. Sean Leahy recorded 47 saves for the Quake. Yellowstone registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Evan Hauser made 40 saves for the Americans on 44 shots. Great Falls registered one goal on seven power play opportunities.
