Glacier holds on for 4-3 win against Billings

The Billings Bulls tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Glacier would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Tyler Latimer put Glacier up 4-2 in the third period, but Billings pulled to within one on Nik Nasby's tally 15:09 into the third period.

Latimer had a great game for Glacier, netting two goals.

Glacier could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 31 minutes in penalties during the game.

Glacier also got points from John Tesarek, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Glacier also got a goal from Jackson Schroeder as well. More assists for Glacier came via Tanner Dodd and Pierre Gustafsson, who each chipped in one and Chris Cutshall and Jonas Svehn, who contributed two a piece.

The Bulls forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 10 minors and two majors for 50 minutes in penalty time. Billings surpassed its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bulls' offense rang up 66 shots on Glacier's net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Ralfs Karelis also scored for Billings. In addition, Billings received assists from Aaron Rio and Dixon Whitehead, who each chipped in one.

Glacier's Gustafsson stopped 63 shots out of the 66 that he faced. Glacier registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Ray Smith made 22 saves for Billings on 26 shots. The Bulls registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Billings ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Colter Endy was ejected from the game.
