Helena's Campe deadly on offense in 6-1 win against Gillette

Behind a great game by Theo Campe, who had two goals, the Helena Bighorns defeated the Gillette Wild, 6-1.

Campe found the back of the net 17:13 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 3:03 into the third to make the score 3-1 Helena.

Helena forced Wild's goalies to work in net, finishing with 69 shots and forcing 63 saves. Sean Kelley made 63 stops and Josh Beatty made zero. The Bighorns' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Gillette power plays.

Helena additionally got points from Austin Loes, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Helena included Logan Henne, Sebastian Hansson, and Rory Bock, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Brian Skillicorn, who had two and Nick Okada, Jacob Wolter, John Bonta, Damon Hanson, Dylan Webster, Parker Olson, Austin Buckholtz, and Matt Mohar, who each chipped in one.

Gillette was led by Tj Mcminn, who scored the team's only goal. Mcminn scored 14:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Gillette. Collin Papesh picked up the assist.

Alek Lazarski rejected 19 shots on goal for Helena. The Bighorns incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Wild incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
