Great Falls downs Helena in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Great Falls Americans' Aaron McInnis scored 10:53 into overtime to beat the Helena Bighorns, 2-1 (OT).

Great Falls was led by goalie Evan Hauser, who finished with 46 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Hauser will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.64.

The Americans were paced by Lucas Lomax, who grabbed one goal. Lomax scored 1:25 into to make the score 3-1 Great Falls. Zachary Mese picked up the assist.

Great Falls could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Americans put an average of 5.1 pucks into the net per game. Great Falls forced Helena goalie Alek Lazarski to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Great Falls additionally got points from Mese, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Lucas Stover, who had one and Connor Barta, who had two.

The Bighorns were held below their usual level of production. Helena averages 5.7 goals per game. The Americans were unable to stop the Bighorns from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

The Bighorns were led by Theo Campe, who scored the team's only goal. Campe scored on the power play 3:14 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Great Falls. Helena earned a power play opportunity when Donovan Mattfeldt was put in the box for roughing. Parker Olson assisted on the tally.
