Huge game by Tich boosts Yellowstone over Bozeman, 5-1

Jimmy Tich had two goals and two assists to lead the Yellowstone Quake to a 5-1 victory over the Bozeman Icedogs.

Tich's tallies came at 11:21 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Yellowstone and on the power play 10:13 into the second to make the score 4-0 Yellowstone.

Bozeman was stymied by Yellowstone netminder Rocco Yapello, who stopped 38 shots during the victory. Yapello managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 4.85 prior to the game.

The Quake excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Yellowstone kept the Icedogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Chance Turner made 56 saves on 61 shots.

Yellowstone also got points from Sawyer Scanlan, who also had two goals and two assists and Mitchell Fehd, who also tallied one goal and two assists. More assists for Yellowstone came via Mike McCullen, who had two and Reed Kaiser and Dong Seo, who each chipped in one.

Bozeman forced the Quake goalie Yapello to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Yellowstone incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Icedogs incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
