Huge game by Nottke boosts Bozeman over Glacier, 7-2Stumptown Ice Den Sun, Oct 27, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Bozeman Icedogs' Austin Nottke had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 7-2 win over Glacier. Nottke beat Ethan Wiese with a shot 14:46 into the first period on the power play to make the score 3-1 Bozeman. Bozeman had gotten the advantage when Glacier's Jackson Schroeder was sent off for slashing. Kegan Couture picked up the assist. Nottke dished an assist on Couture's goal that made the score 2-1 Bozeman at 7:40 into the first period. He then added assists on Gunnar Mogck's goal at 9:36 into the second and on Mogck's goal at 13:42 into the third.The Icedogs' penalty kill excelled, as Bozeman gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Icedogs stifled Glacier's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Bozeman's offense rang up 50 shots on Glacier's net. The Icedogs' goal total was higher than their season average. Bozeman averages 3.2 goals per game. Bozeman also got points from Mogck, who also had three goals and one assist and Couture, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Jason Demczak also scored for Bozeman. In addition, Bozeman received assists from Ryan Erickson and Ryan Newman, who contributed one a piece. Glacier forced the Icedogs goalie Zach Skop to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Glacier was helped by Padraic Ripple, who registered one goal. Ripple scored 6:23 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Bozeman. Schroeder provided the assist. Glacier also got a goal from John Tesarek as well. Other players who recorded assists for Glacier were Karson Frisk, Robert Dawson, and Adam Dalton, who each chipped in one. Zach Skop made 35 saves for Bozeman on 37 shots. The Icedogs incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Glacier's Wiese stopped 43 shots out of the 49 that he faced. Glacier ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major.
