Billings rides Semchak to victory over Gillette, 4-1

Cole Semchak had a standout game with 41 saves, and the Billings Bulls beat the Gillette Wild 4-1.

Billings got the win behind a great game by Nik Nasby, who had one goal and two assists. Nasby scored 9:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Billings. Orri Haman assisted on the tally.

The Bulls pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 44 penalty minutes.

Billings kept Gillette's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Kelley made 27 saves on 31 shots. The Bulls' goal total was higher than their season average. Billings has scored at the pace of 1.9 goal per game during the current campaign.

Billings additionally got points from Haman, who also had one goal and two assists. Billings also got a goal from Matt Myers as well. In addition, Billings received assists from Bryce Jensen, who had one and Cody Phillips, who had two.

The Bulls were unable to stop the Wild from sending pucks towards the net, and Gillette eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Wild were held back by their power play unit, which tallied one goal on 10 chances.

Gillette was led by Alex King, who scored the team's only goal. King scored on the power play 11:59 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Billings. The Wild had gotten the advantage when Billings' Tristen Heinrichs was sent off for roughing. Brandon Miller picked up the assist.

The Bulls registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Gillette incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
