Helena's Olson deadly on offense in 7-1 win against Great Falls

Parker Olson had two goals to lead the Helena Bighorns to a 7-1 victory over the Great Falls Americans.

Olson scored on the power play at 11:03 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Helena and again while 14:57 into the first to make the score 3-0 Helena.

Great Falls' power play was ineffective against Helena's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Bighorns forced the Americans' goaltenders to work without much rest, taking 55 shots and forcing 48 saves. Evan Hauser made 21 stops and Erik Powell made 27. Helena's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Great Falls power plays.

Helena also got points from Theo Campe, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Dylan Webster, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Sebastian Hansson, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Helena also got a goal from Brian Skillicorn as well. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Jacob Wolter, who had two, Nick Okada, who had three, and Damon Hanson, Logan Henne, Ryan Webber, and Austin Buckholtz, who each chipped in one.

Great Falls could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Americans put an average of 6.0 pucks into the net per game. Great Falls gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Americans give up 2.2 goals per game.

Alek Lazarski made 23 saves for the Bighorns on 24 shots. Helena incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Great Falls ended with 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors.
