Glacier falls apart in second, loses to Helena, 8-1

Glacier allowed the Helena Bighorns to net three goals during the second period and fell, 8-1.

Dylan Webster was all over the ice for Helena, as he racked up two goals in the win. Webster's tallies came at 12:18 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Helena and 11:55 into the third to make the score 5-1 Helena.

The Bighorns kept Glacier's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jake Mullen made 94 saves on 102 shots. Team could not crack Glacier's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having 14 opportunities to play with the man advantage.

Helena also got points from Brandt Miller, who also registered one goal and one assist and Ryan Webber, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Helena included John Bonta, who had two and Matt Mohar and Shane Archuleta, who scored one goal each. In addition, Helena received assists from Sebastian Hansson, who had three, Nick Okada, Jacob Wolter, Damon Hanson, Brian Skillicorn, and Rory Bock, who each chipped in one, and Parker Olson, Austin Loes, and Danny Case, who contributed two a piece.

Glacier was often in penalty trouble, totaling 15 minors and one major for 45 minutes in penalty time. Glacier surpassed its season average of 31.0 penalty minutes per game. Glacier was held below its usual level of production. Glacier averages 3.3 goals per game.

Alek Lazarski made 23 saves for Helena on 24 shots. The Bighorns incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Glacier registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For Glacier, Corbin Emery was ejected from the game.
