The Bozeman Icedogs could not stop the Great Falls Americans' Aaron McInnis, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-3 win.

McInnis' first goal came 18:15 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:12 into the third and at 18:13 into the third.

Great Falls made Icedogs' netminders to work without much rest, ripping 41 shots and forcing 33 saves. Chance Turner made 23 stops and Nelson Navotna made 10. The Americans surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Great Falls has scored at the pace of 5.8 goals per game during the current campaign. The Americans' defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. Great Falls averages 0.8 goals allowed per game. The Americans capitalized on Bozeman's penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. Great Falls' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Americans finished with 24 penalty minutes.

Great Falls also got points from Cody Page, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Brady Christiaens, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Great Falls also got a goal from Dylan Garton as well. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Erik Powell, Steven Goran, Craig Bufford, Lucas Stover, and Connor Barta, who each chipped in one and Lucas Lomax, Donovan Mattfeldt, and Zachary Mese, who contributed two a piece.
