Webster's big game bests Billings in 7-1 Helena winCentennial Ice Garden Sat, Sep 21, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Dylan Webster was all over the ice for the Helena Bighorns, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Helena's 7-1 win over the Billings Bulls. Webster found the back of the net on the power play 3:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena and again while 4:36 into the first to make the score 2-0 Helena.The Bighorns were led by goalie Alek Lazarski, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Lazarski will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest. Helena forced Billings goalie Cole Semchak to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. The Bighorns' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Helena finished with 26 penalty minutes. Helena additionally got points from Parker Olson, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Helena included Jacob Wolter, who had two and Logan Henne and Shane Archuleta, who scored one goal each. In addition, Helena received assists from Damon Hanson, who had two, Sebastian Hansson, who had three, and Theo Campe, Nick Okada, and Matt Mohar, who each chipped in one. The Bulls were led by Stephen Thompson, who scored the team's only goal. Thompson scored on the power play 1:30 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Helena. Billings had taken the advantage when the Bighorns' Campe got sent off for head contact. Nik Nasby assisted on the tally. Helena registered three goals on nine power play opportunities. Cole Semchak made 42 saves for the Bulls on 49 shots. Billings incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
