The Bozeman Icedogs had trouble finding ways to stop the Great Falls Americans, which beat Icedogs, 4-1. Great Falls was sparked by Max Kaercher, who finished with one goal. Kaercher scored on the power play 53 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Great Falls. Donovan Mattfeldt provided the assist. The Americans excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Great Falls' offense rang up 33 shots on Bozeman's net. The Americans' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Great Falls also got points from Lucas Lomax, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Connor Barta also scored for Great Falls. Other players who recorded assists for Great Falls were Dylan Garton, who had one and Erik Gatson and Aaron McInnis, who contributed two a piece. Great Falls' Evan Hauser stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Americans incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Chance Turner made 29 saves for the Icedogs on 33 shots. Bozeman incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
