LA Jr. Kings (mm) gutted out a close 5-3 win against Colorado Thunderbirds (mm).

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by David Quast at 9:33 of the second period.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) got the win with help from a great game by Aaron Aragon, who had two goals and one assist. Aragon scored the first of his two goals at 3:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LA Jr. Kings (mm). Tyler Levine assisted on the tally. Aragon's next tally made the score 5-3 LA Jr. Kings (mm) with 3:03 left in the third period.

Dakota Raabe also scored for LA Jr. Kings (mm). More assists for LA Jr. Kings (mm) came via Kailer Yamamoto and Evan Johnson, who contributed one a piece.

Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) was helped by Max Gerlach, who registered one goal. Gerlach scored 11:24 into the third period to make the score 4-3 LA Jr. Kings (mm). Troy Terry provided the assist. Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) also got a goal from Christopher(CJ) Dodero as well.

Robert Jacobson recorded 13 saves for LA Jr. Kings (mm). LA Jr. Kings (mm) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Colorado Thunderbirds (mm)'s starting goalie, Ben Roberts, made 18 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Kristofer Carlson, who stopped zero shots.
