Colorado Rampage (MM) survives Dallas Stars (MM) comeback, wins 3-1

Dallas Stars (MM) tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Colorado Rampage (MM) held on for a 3-1 victory.

A goal by Logan Speelman put Colorado Rampage (MM) up 3-0 in the third period, but Dallas Stars (MM) pulled to within two on JM Piotrowski's tally 13:20 into the third period.

Colorado Rampage (MM)'s penalty kill excelled, as Colorado Rampage (MM) gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

Colorado Rampage (MM) stifled Dallas Stars (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Colorado Rampage (MM)'s penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Colorado Rampage (MM) finished with 22 penalty minutes.

Colorado Rampage (MM) was helped by Sean Giles, who registered one goal. Giles scored on the power play 13:59 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Colorado Rampage (MM). Colorado Rampage (MM) had gained a power play chance when Cody Wickline was whistled for cross checking. Jake Suter picked up the assist. Colorado Rampage (MM) also got points from JJ (James Jr.) Huerena, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Speelman, who also had one goal and one assist.

Dallas Stars (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Stars (MM) were Isaac Cirinna and Connor Smith, who contributed one a piece.

Jacob Weatherly rejected 16 shots on goal for Colorado Rampage (MM). Colorado Rampage (MM) registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Dallas Stars (MM)'s Brock Thompson stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced.
