Matt Robertson registered one point to lead the Louisiana IceGators to a 2-1 victory over the Fayetteville FireAntz.

Louisiana stifled Fayetteville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Bret Peppler also scored for Louisiana. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Chris Wilson, who had one and Kirk Byczynski, who had two.

The FireAntz were led by Corey Toy, who scored the team's only goal. Toy scored 1:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fayetteville. Yuri Cheremetiev assisted on the tally.

Kiefer Smiley made 19 saves for the IceGators on 20 shots. Louisiana totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-1 on the power play. Peter Skoggard rejected 25 shots on goal for Fayetteville. The FireAntz totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
