Knoxville downs Huntsville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

David Segal gave the Knoxville Ice Bears a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Huntsville Havoc when he scored 3:02 into the extra period.

Knoxville got the win behind a great game by Segal, who had two goals and two assists. Segal scored the first of his two goals at 16:33 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Knoxville. Brady Vandenberk provided the assist. Segal's next tally made the score 4-3 Knoxville with 16:58 left in overtime. Mark Van Vliet assisted on the tally.

The 33 shots that the Ice Bears put on net surpassed Knoxville's average of 25.2 shots per game this season.

Knoxville also had goals scored by Jeremy Klaver and Andrew Dovey, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Knoxville were Peter Neal and Eric Satim, who each chipped in one.

Huntsville forced the Ice Bears goalie Cody Rosen to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

The Havoc were led by Stuart Stefan, who finished with two goals. Stefan scored the first of his two goals at 54 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Huntsville. Justin Cseter provided the assist. Stefan's next tally made the score 3-3 with 17 seconds left in the third period. Josh Harris picked up the assist. Huntsville also got a goal from Nick Lazorko as well. More assists for Huntsville came via Leland Fidler and Eric Alexander, who contributed one each.

Cody Rosen made 38 saves for Knoxville on 41 shots. The Ice Bears incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jesse Kallechy recorded 29 saves for Huntsville. The Havoc incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
