Huge game by Stuart boosts Louisiana over Peoria, 4-1Cajundome Sun, Feb 23, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Louisiana IceGators' Adam Stuart had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 4-1 win over the Peoria Rivermen. Stuart's tallies came at 40 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Louisiana and 10:31 into the first to make the score 2-0 Louisiana.Louisiana stifled Peoria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Louisiana additionally got points from Ron Cramer, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Kirk Byczynski as well. More assists for Louisiana came via Shawn McNeil, who had three and Tyler Lyon and Jeremy Boyer, who each chipped in one. The Rivermen average 23.0 shots on goal per game, but only sent 18 pucks on net against the IceGators. Peoria was led by Steve Morra, who scored the team's only goal. Morra scored 8:35 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Louisiana. Taylor Larsen provided the assist. Kiefer Smiley made 17 saves for Louisiana on 18 shots. The IceGators incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Rivermen's Kyle Rank stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Peoria incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
