The Peoria Rivermen used a sparkling performance by Kyle Rank to take down the Fayetteville FireAntz, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Peoria's 3-0 shutout victory. The Rivermen were led by Taylor Larsen, who registered one goal. Larsen scored 7:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Cole Ruwe assisted on the tally. Peoria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Rivermen was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Peoria allows 2.6 goals per game. The Rivermen relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Garrett Vermeersch, Jeremiah Ketts and Parker Stanfield took 15 of the team's 25 shots. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Kory Helowka, who had one. Fayetteville did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The FireAntz average 2.6 goals per game. Fayetteville relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Tommy Lange, Nick Craven and Matt Ridley took 17 of the team's 33 shots. Kyle Rank made 33 saves for Peoria on 33 shots.
