Mississippi RiverKings erases deficit to stun Fayetteville, 5-4Landers Center Fri, Jan 03, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Mississippi RiverKings battled back to claim a 5-4 victory over the Fayetteville FireAntz. Mississippi RiverKings never led in the game until netting the game winner. Mississippi RiverKings fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by Fayetteville's Brandon Greenside at 15:32 in the first period. Mississippi RiverKings tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Todd Hosmer at 4:22 in the third period. Mississippi RiverKings scored the game winner at 17:28 in the third period on a goal by Hosmer. Leo Thomas had two goals and one assist to lead Mississippi RiverKings. Thomas scored the first of his two goals at 19:35 into the first period to make the score 3-3.
