The Bloomington Thunder pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Columbus Cottonmouths on a clutch goal by Kyle Watson.

Bloomington was led by goalie Max Strang, who finished with 40 saves while allowing one goal. Strang managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.11 prior to the game.

The Thunder were led by Watson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Watson scored 4:32 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Bloomington. Peter Cintala provided the assist.

Bloomington stifled Columbus' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The defense for the Thunder played an important role offensively, racking up 15 shots on goal. Bloomington put 34 shots on net during the contest, more than the 21.3 it averages per game.

Kory Helowka also scored for Bloomington. In addition, Bloomington received assists from Branden Parkhouse, who had one.

The 41 shots that the Cottonmouths put on net surpassed Columbus' average of 26.4 shots per game this season.

The Cottonmouths were led by Sam Bowles, who scored the team's only goal. Bowles scored 2:20 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Columbus.
