Mississippi RiverKings took the lead against the Bloomington Thunder in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory. Mississippi RiverKings took over the lead for good with a goal by Daniel Sobotka at 5:52 in the first period. Mississippi RiverKings earned a power play opportunity when Paul Arnott Jr was put in the box for cross checking.
