Leland Fidler grabbed one point to lead the Huntsville Havoc to a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Cottonmouths.

Huntsville also had goals scored by Stuart Stefan and Mike Gurtler, who scored one goal each. In addition, Huntsville received assists from Justin Cseter, who had two and Dominic Osman, Ray Ortiz, and Nick Lazorko, who contributed one a piece.

Columbus was led by Jordan Braid, who scored the team's only goal. Braid scored on the power play 19:46 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Cottonmouths had gotten the advantage when Huntsville's Fidler was sent off for slashing. Tyler Gjurich provided the assist.

The Havoc's Jesse Kallechy stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Huntsville totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Andrew Loewen made 26 saves for Columbus on 29 shots. The Cottonmouths totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
