Joe Caveney gave the Pensacola Ice Flyers a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Peoria Rivermen when he scored 3:33 into the extra period.

Pensacola was led by Caveney, who registered one goal.

The Ice Flyers' offense was helped by the efforts of their defensemen, who managed to put 19 shots on net during the game. The 43 shots that Pensacola put on net surpassed the Ice Flyers' average of 32.5 shots per game this season.

Pensacola also got points from Mitchell Good, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Steve Whitely also scored for Pensacola. More assists for Pensacola came via Shaun Arvai, who had two and Donnie Harris, Paul Rodrigues, and John Dunbar, who each chipped in one.

The Rivermen were helped by Tyler Fernandez, who racked up one goal and one assist. Fernandez scored on the power play 29 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. Cole Ruwe assisted on the tally. Peoria additionally got points from Parker Stanfield, who also had one goal and one assist.

John Griggs rejected 29 shots on goal for the Ice Flyers. Pensacola incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Eric Levine made 40 saves for Peoria on 43 shots. The Rivermen incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
