Pensacola beats Peoria 6-2 as Good gets hat trick

A hat trick by Mitchell Good was the highlight in Ice Flyers' 6-2 win against the Peoria Rivermen.

Good notched his first tally 9:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:51 into the second and at 6:00 into the third.

The Pensacola Ice Flyers' goal total was higher than their season average. Pensacola has scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign. By firing 42 shots on goal, the Ice Flyers exceeded the 32.1 shots they average per game this year.

Pensacola also got a goal from John Dunbar as well. More assists for Pensacola came via Paul Rodrigues, who had two, Joe Caveney, who had three, and Brett Lutes, Adam Pawlick, and Joe Bueltel, who each chipped in one.

Pensacola was unable to stop Peoria from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rivermen eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

Peoria was helped by Parker Stanfield, who finished with one goal. Stanfield scored 18:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nick Prockow provided the assist. Peoria also got points from Prockow, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Peoria received assists from Cole Ruwe, Joe Schiller, and Tyler Fernandez, who contributed one a piece.

The Ice Flyers' Peter Di Salvo stopped 44 shots out of the 46 that he faced. Pensacola totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Eric Levine rejected 36 shots on goal for the Rivermen. Peoria totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
