A stellar performance between the pipes by Dan McWhinney helped Mississippi RiverKings defeat the Huntsville Havoc, 4-1.

Mississippi RiverKings was sparked by Charles LaChance, who racked up one goal. LaChance scored 1:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Mississippi RiverKings. Matt Harrington picked up the assist.

Mississippi RiverKings' offense was clicking better than usual and put 34 shots on goal during the game, better than the 30.9 shots per game it averages.

Mississippi RiverKings also got points from Todd Hosmer, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Leo Thomas, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Mississippi RiverKings came via Mike Grace, Matt Whitehead, and Andrew Randazzo, who contributed one a piece.

Huntsville could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Havoc put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. By firing 37 shots on goal, Huntsville exceeded the 30.5 shots it averages per game this year.

The Havoc were led by Brandon Perry, who scored the team's only goal. Perry scored 4:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville. Mike Gurtler provided the assist.
