P and H Centre    Fri, Jan 03, 2014

The Hanover Barons tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Wingham Ironmen would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

Wingham took a 4-1 lead during the second period, only to have Hanover storm back on a Denver Hill goal 4:13 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Others who scored for Wingham included Keaton Willis, Justin Jacklin, and Aaron Armstrong, who scored one goal each. More assists for Wingham came via Brett Brophy, Jamie Huber, and Ryan McNeil, who each chipped in one.

The Barons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Hanover kept the Ironmen's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Watson made 29 saves on 31 shots.
