Huber leads Wingham over Mount Forest, 6-3Wescast Complex Rink Fri, Nov 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Wingham Ironmen's Jamie Huber had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-3 win over the Mount Forest Patriots. Huber scored on the power play at 42 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wingham and again while on the power play 6:33 into the second to make the score 4-1 Wingham.Wingham forced Patriots' netminders to work in net, getting 32 shots and forcing 26 saves. John Nixon made 13 stops and Kyle Poole made 13. The Ironmen capitalized on Mount Forest's penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. Wingham also got points from Aaron Armstrong, who also registered one goal and two assists. Wingham also got a goal from Connor Johnson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wingham were Brett Brophy, who had three and Matt McCracken, Blake Pickering, Keaton Willis, and Ryan McNeil, who each chipped in one. The Patriots' offense rang up 42 shots on Wingham's net. Mount Forest was helped by Trevor Hughson, who tallied one goal. Hughson scored on the power play 4:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mount Forest. A holding penalty on Mason Keating had put the Patriots on the power play. Dean Nixon picked up the assist. Luke Richardson also scored for Mount Forest. In addition, Mount Forest received assists from Cody Wright, who had two and Josh Hoffele and Ben Davis, who contributed one a piece. Jaden Shrier made 39 saves for the Ironmen on 42 shots. Wingham incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Mount Forest incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
