Cafagna lifts Caledon over Huntsville, 7-3

Daniel Cafagna was all over the ice for the Caledon Golden Hawks, as he tallied four goals in Caledon's 7-3 win over the Huntsville Otters.

Cafagna got on the scoresheet 13 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 7:09 into the first, at 12:24 into the first, and at 14:45 into the first.

Huntsville's power play was ineffective against the Golden Hawks' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Caledon's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Huntsville power plays. The Golden Hawks forced the Otters goalie TJ Sherwood to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Caledon surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Golden Hawks have scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Caledon also got points from Christian Bonaldi, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Steven Klomp, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Chris Smith also scored for Caledon. In addition, Caledon received assists from Adam Breen, Zack Worth, and James Pitsadiotas, who each chipped in one and Brett Bloor and Cody Forgione, who contributed two a piece.

Huntsville's offense rang up 35 shots on Caledon's net.

The Otters were led by Jake McIntyre, who had one goal and one assist. McIntyre scored 2:26 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Caledon. Others who scored for Huntsville included Trayvon Henry and Bryan Lynn, who each put in one. More assists for Huntsville came via Bryan Austin, who had one.

Eric Pitcher rejected 32 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Caledon incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. TJ Sherwood made 33 saves for Huntsville on 40 shots. The Otters incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
