Erin rips Huntsville, 4-1Canada Summit Centre Sun, Dec 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Erin Shamrocks had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Huntsville Otters. Chris Grenier had two goals to lead Erin to victory. Grenier's tallies came short handed at 12:15 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Erin and 8:22 into the third to make the score 4-1 Erin. The Shamrocks stifled Huntsville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Erin kept the Otters' goalie busy throughout the game, and TJ Sherwood made 33 saves on 37 shots. Others who scored for Erin included Tyler Nieuwendyk and Cameron DeFazio, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Erin were Jacob Arsenault, Josh Sguigna, Adam Gibson, David Neil, Tyler Topham, and James Watsonbag, who contributed one a piece. Huntsville was led by Myles Bissonette, who scored the team's only goal. Bissonette scored 1:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Erin. Noah Stevens provided the assist. Mark Terry rejected 17 shots on goal for the Shamrocks. Erin incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Shamrocks, Sam Hisey was ejected from the game. The Otters incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
