Schwartz's big game bests Erin in 9-4 Penetang win

Jordan Schwartz was all over the ice for the Penetang Kings, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Penetang's 9-4 win over the Erin Shamrocks.

Schwartz scored 16:45 into the second period to make the score 5-4 Penetang. Jack Scanlan picked up the assist. Schwartz dished an assist on Matt Fischer's goal that made the score 8-4 Penetang at 14:36 into the third period. He added another helper on Fischer's goal that made the score 9-4 Penetang at 14:59 into the third period.

The Kings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Erin was unable to stop Penetang from sending pucks towards the net, and the Kings eventually piled up 49 shots on goal. Penetang's goal total was higher than its season average. The Kings average 5.5 goals per game. Penetang's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Penetang also got points from Hayden Cole, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Scanlan, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Graham Haley APM, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Fischer, who also grabbed two goals and two assists to lead the team in points, and Jesse Moreau, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Penetang also had goals scored by Matt Meher and Michael Paul, who each put in one. In addition, Penetang received assists from Ryan Shaw, Mackenzie Bumstead, and Myles York, who contributed one a piece and Kyle Burns and Ryan Young, who each chipped in two.

The Shamrocks were led by Moses Vaz, who registered one goal and two assists. Vaz scored 7:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Erin. Tyler Topham assisted on the tally. Erin additionally got points from Topham, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Erin included Jacob Arsenault and Darcy Hackett, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Erin were Wes Montgomery, who had one and Sam Hisey and Josh Sguigna, who each chipped in two.

Adam Redgate made 13 saves for the Kings on 17 shots. Penetang incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Mark Terry rejected 40 shots on goal for Erin. The Shamrocks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
