Alliston survives Orillia comeback, wins 3-2

The Orillia Terriers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Alliston Hornets would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Alliston took a 3-1 lead during the second period, only to have Orillia storm back on a Jason Binnie goal 13:39 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Dakota Brooks had a great game for the Hornets, netting two goals.

David Leblanc also scored for Alliston. More assists for Alliston came via Mark ODonnell and Bobby Sloan, who contributed two a piece.

Alliston's defense shut down the Terriers' forwards for much of the game, and Orillia got off only 11 shots during the contest.

Orillia also got points from Ryan Tucci, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Orillia were Wyatt Young and Jake Beard (APM), who each chipped in one.

Connor Ryckman made nine saves for the Hornets on 11 shots. Alliston incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Terriers' Gordie Weiss stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Orillia incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
