Alliston's Leblanc deadly on offense in 4-0 win against CaledonNew Tecumseth Rec Centre Fri, Nov 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Alliston Hornets relied on the scoring touch of David Leblanc, who netted two goals, to beat the Caledon Golden Hawks, 4-0. Leblanc's tallies came short handed at 13:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alliston and 11:26 into the second to make the score 3-0 Alliston.Alliston put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Caledon to score on any of its five power plays. Jamie Bennett also scored for Alliston. In addition, Alliston received assists from William Bradon, Jacob Tuck, Christian Petrozza (APM), and Nic Archibald, who each chipped in one. The Golden Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 12 Alliston power plays. Caledon was held below its usual level of production. The Golden Hawks put an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. Caledon could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game. Connor Ryckman made 20 saves for the Hornets on 20 shots. Alliston incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Hornets ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mark ODonnell was ejected from the game. The Golden Hawks' Eric Pitcher stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that he faced. For Caledon, James Pitsadiotas was ejected from the game.
