Penetang rides Lauzon to victory over Erin, 5-1

Martin Lauzon stood on his head and made 31 saves to lead the Penetang Kings to a 5-1 victory over the Erin Shamrocks.

Penetang's offense rang up 49 shots on Erin's net.

The Kings were helped by Matt Fischer, who grabbed two goals. Fischer scored the first of his two goals at 17:22 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Penetang. Jordan Schwartz assisted on the tally. Fischer's next tally made the score 4-0 Penetang with 12:36 left in the third period. Matt Meher picked up the assist. Penetang additionally got points from Ryan Young, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Sammy Gagnon also scored for Penetang. More assists for Penetang came via Hayden Cole, who had two and Jack Scanlan, Graham Haley APM, Nate Archer, and Craig Robinson, who contributed one a piece.

Penetang was unable to stop the Shamrocks from sending pucks towards the net, and Erin eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

The Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Shamrocks' Tom Denstedt stopped 44 shots out of the 49 that he faced. Erin incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
