Huge game by Barosso boosts Schomberg over Erin, 6-3

The Schomberg Cougars' Mike Barosso had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Erin Shamrocks.

Barosso got on the board by slotting home a goal 18:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Erin. Brandon Falsarella assisted on the tally. Barosso dished an assist on Bobby Quinn's goal that made the score 3-2 Schomberg at 5:17 into the third period. He added another helper on Falsarella's goal that made the score 4-2 Schomberg at 9:17 into the third period.

Schomberg stifled Erin's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Schomberg additionally got points from Falsarella, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Blake Culley, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Justin Formenton, who also registered one goal and one assist. Christian Muenz also scored for Schomberg. In addition, Schomberg received assists from Nicholas Chaykowsky, who had two.

The Shamrocks were helped by Darcy Hackett, who had one goal. Hackett scored short handed 15:42 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Schomberg. Erin found itself down a man on Tyler Topham's unsportsmanlike conduct. Patrick Reay provided the assist. Erin also got points from David Neil, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Erin also got a goal from Johnathan Rose as well. More assists for Erin came via Connor Mortimer, Moses Vaz, and Cameron DeFazio, who contributed one a piece.

Garett Taylor made 18 saves for the Cougars on 21 shots. Schomberg incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Mark Terry recorded 22 saves for the Shamrocks. Erin incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
