Undaunted by a three-goal deficit, the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats battled back to claim a 6-5 victory over the Simcoe Storm. Dunnville never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Jr. Mudcats trailed 5-2 after a goal by Simcoe's Austin Richardson at 4:42 in the second period. Dunnville tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Austin Golding at 15:27 in the third period. The Jr. Mudcats scored the game winner at 18:57 in the third period on a goal by Golding. Golding had two goals to lead Dunnville to victory. The Jr. Mudcats' offense rang up 37 shots on the Storm's net. Dunnville was held back by its power play unit, which tallied two goals on 10 chances. The Jr. Mudcats struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 26 penalty minutes for two opposing power plays. Dunnville also got points from Trevor Smith, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Landon Minor, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Dunnville included Steven Czepek and Tyler Springer, who scored one goal each. More assists for Dunnville came via Dan Arrowsmith, who had two, Mack Steele, who had three, and Evan Capobianco, Alexander Carlson, Cole Scarlett, and Jordan Bolibrook, who contributed one a piece. Simcoe could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 50 minutes in penalties during the game. The Storm were helped by Wade Metz, who had three goals. Simcoe additionally got points from Jamie Kelly, who also finished with one goal and two assists. In addition, Simcoe received assists from Conner Robinson, who had one and Braedan Walker, who had three.
