Chippawa beats Glanbrook 4-0 as Dunne gains shutout

Colin Dunne recorded a shutout against the Glanbrook Rangers as the Chippawa Riverhawks picked up a 4-0 win.

Chippawa was led by Michael Rogers, who finished with one goal. Rogers scored on the power play 1:55 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Chippawa. Jonathan England picked up the assist.

The Riverhawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Glanbrook to score on any of its four power plays.

Others who scored for Chippawa included Mitch Sawatzky, Dylan Lazarus, and Luke Brackett, who scored one goal each. In addition, Chippawa received assists from Kyle Robertson, Dylan Leifso, Curtis Sauve, and Wade Kenny, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers' offense operated below they season average. Glanbrook averages 3.4 goals per game.

Dunne recorded 30 saves for Chippawa. The Riverhawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. For Chippawa, England was ejected from the game. Matthew Venturelli rejected 16 shots on goal for the Rangers. Glanbrook ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. Team's Anthony Whitwell and Derek Goodwin were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
