Dunnville outlasts Dundas, 4-2Dunnville Memorial Arena Sun, Dec 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Dunnville Jr. Mudcats gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Dundas Blues. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Hayden Molen secured the win for Dunnville with a goal in the third period. Dundas' power play was ineffective against the Jr. Mudcats' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Dunnville was sparked by Molen, who had one goal. Molen scored 15:07 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Dunnville. Evan Huckalo provided the assist. The Jr. Mudcats put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Blues to score on any of their six power plays. Dunnville additionally got points from Jordan Bolibrook, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Dunnville also had goals scored by Austin Golding and Dan Arrowsmith, who each put in one. More assists for Dunnville came via Landon Minor, who had two and Davis Hart, Tyler Springer, and Chad Springer, who contributed one a piece. Dundas kept Dunnville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Josh Rosettani made 29 saves on 31 shots. The Blues were helped by Brayden Knott, who registered one goal. Knott scored 5:24 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Branden Graffi assisted on the tally. Dundas also got a goal from Cody Carey as well. The Jr. Mudcats totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Team's Evan Capobianco and Luke Rowe were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Dan Davies made 25 saves for Dundas on 28 shots. The Blues ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. For Dundas, Kevin Jaczenko and Greg Harley were ejected from the contest.
