The Dunnville Jr. Mudcats tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Grimsby Peach Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1.

Grimsby took a 3-0 lead during the second period, only to have Dunnville storm back on a Tyler Springer goal 12:02 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The Peach Kings were led by Trevor McEneny, who registered one goal. McEneny scored on the power play 6:35 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Grimsby. Grimsby had gained a power play chance when Evan Huckalo was whistled for cross checking. Andrew Kolodzey assisted on the tally.
