The Glanbrook Rangers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Simcoe Storm on the way to a 3-1 win.

Glanbrook made the score 3-0 on a goal by Cole Anderson at 13:58 in the first period, and Simcoe got as close as 3-1 when Brad Vervacke scored 11:02 into the third period.

Glanbrook was often in penalty trouble, totaling 13 minors and three majors for 71 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 25.0 minutes per game the Rangers had been spending in the box. Glanbrook put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Simcoe to score on any of its 14 power plays.

The Rangers were helped by Keifer MacInness, who tallied one goal. MacInness scored 6:08 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Glanbrook. Nicolas Kuiper also scored for Glanbrook. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Anthony Whitwell, who had two and Curtis Edwards and Jay Creen, who each chipped in one.

The Storm racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with eight minors and three majors for 31 minutes in penalty time. Simcoe surpassed its season average of 24.0 penalty minutes per game. The Storm did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Simcoe averages 3.3 goals per game. The Storm's offense rang up 53 shots on Glanbrook's net.

In addition, Simcoe received assists from Conner Robinson and Braden Roberts, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Glanbrook, Kyle Dumais, Kuiper, and Anderson were ejected from the contest. Avery Allen rejected 22 shots on goal for Simcoe. Team's Robinson, Braedan Walker, and Wade Metz were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
