Dorchester blows out North Middlesex, 8-1

The North Middlesex Stars had trouble finding ways to stop the Dorchester Dolphins, which beat Stars, 8-1.

Chad Brulotte had two goals and one assist to lead Dorchester. Brulotte scored the first of his two goals at 10:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dorchester. Liam Gillooly provided the assist. Brulotte's next tally made the score 8-1 Dorchester with 6:53 left in the third period. Chris Buckles assisted on the tally.

The Dolphins' penalty kill excelled, as Dorchester gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

The Dolphins' offense rang up 42 shots on North Middlesex's net. Dorchester surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Dolphins average 5.4 goals per contest.

Dorchester also got points from Tyler Vere, who also had one goal and one assist. Dorchester also had goals scored by Patrick Freel, who had two and Shayne Rhyno, Cale Duberry, and Bryan McCauley, who each put in one. More assists for Dorchester came via Jordan Fuller, Brendon O Shaughnessy, and Ben Lawton, who each chipped in one and Tyler Blue and Gus Ford, who contributed two a piece.

The Stars were led by Luke Fraser, who scored the team's only goal. Fraser scored on the power play 9:40 into the third period to make the score 6-1 Dorchester. North Middlesex had gotten the advantage when Dorchester's Brulotte was sent off for tripping. Mike Sharpe provided the assist.

Colton James made 14 saves for the Dolphins on 15 shots. Dorchester incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Matt Lockwood rejected 34 shots on goal for the Stars. North Middlesex incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
