SOJHL     Wed, Jan 15, 2014

The North Middlesex Stars had trouble finding ways to stop the Lucan Irish, which beat Stars, 4-1.

Lucan was sparked by Keiron Cobban, who had one goal. Cobban scored short handed 14:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lucan. The Irish were on a disadvantage when Nik Petrie went off the ice for hooking. Kody Tremblay provided the assist.

Lucan additionally got points from Tremblay, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Lucan included Mike Worby and Zach Beaumont, who each put in one. In addition, Lucan received assists from Jake Morin, Tyler Richardson, and Dylan Ross, who each chipped in one.

North Middlesex put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Irish to score on any of their three power plays.

The Stars were led by Mike Sharpe, who scored the team's only goal. Sharpe scored 14:34 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Lucan. Luke Fraser picked up the assist.
