Thamesford survives Mt.Brydges comeback, wins 3-1Thamesford District Rec Fri, Dec 13, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Mt.Brydges Bulldogs tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Thamesford Trojans held on for a 3-1 victory. Thamesford took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Mt.Brydges storm back on a Tyler Lockwood goal 10:19 into the third period to pull to two goals down. The Trojans got the win on the strength of a great game by Jake McColl, who had one goal and two assists. McColl scored 5:12 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Thamesford. Fabio Galante provided the assist. Thamesford could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Trojans average 5.3 goals per game. The Bulldogs were unable to stop Thamesford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Trojans eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. Thamesford also got points from Galante, who also had one goal and two assists. Thamesford also got a goal from Avery Antone as well. In addition, Thamesford received assists from James Toye, who had two. Mt.Brydges excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. More assists for Mt.Brydges came via Robert McTaggart and Connor Lovie, who contributed one a piece. Jake Fonti recorded 24 saves for Thamesford. The Trojans incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Bulldogs' Andrew Harrimand-Duke stopped 44 shots out of the 47 that he faced. Mt.Brydges incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. For the Bulldogs, Mike Frizzell was ejected from the game.
