Port Stanley pulls away in second, rolls over Mt.Brydges, 6-1

The Mt.Brydges Bulldogs was within striking distance after one period, but the Port Stanley Sailors put the pedal down in the second en route to a 6-1 victory.

Will Kilgour was all over the ice for Port Stanley, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Kilgour scored 13:13 into the third period to make the score 6-1 Port Stanley. Tanner Turley picked up the assist.

The Sailors stifled Mt.Brydges' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Port Stanley forced the Bulldogs goalie Andrew Harrimand-Duke to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Port Stanley additionally got points from Zachary Zinga, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Port Stanley included Keaton McIntyre, who had two and Tyson Corkum and Connor Knapman, who each put in one. In addition, Port Stanley received assists from Alex Weaver, who had two and Dalton Good and Findley Brandon, who contributed one a piece.

Brandon Garner rejected 15 shots on goal for the Sailors. Port Stanley incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Sailors ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Taylor Schram was ejected from the game. Harrimand-Duke recorded 26 saves for Mt.Brydges. The Bulldogs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
