North Middlesex falls to Thamesford in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Marcus Gverzdys gave the Thamesford Trojans a 5-4 (OT) victory over the North Middlesex Stars when he scored 1:25 into the extra period.

Thamesford overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Trojans was down 4-2 after a goal by North Middlesex's Mike Sharpe at 13:32 in the second period. Thamesford tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Adam Levine at 12:08 in the third period.

The Trojans were led by Gverzdys, who finished with one goal and one assist.

Thamesford managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Trojans wound up below its season average of 31.0 penalty minutes per game. Thamesford kept the Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Foster made 37 saves on 42 shots.
