Lambeth blows out Exeter, 6-2

The Lambeth Lancers were firing on all cylinders against the Exeter Hawks, and when the final buzzer sounded Lancers emerged with a 6-2 win.

Warren Hargraves had two goals and two assists to lead Lambeth. Hargraves scored the first of his two goals at 16:25 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lambeth. Tanner Smith provided the assist. Hargraves' next tally made the score 5-0 Lambeth with 9:10 left in the second period. A boarding call on Mike Golinowski put the Lancers on the penalty kill. Justin Clark assisted on the tally.

Lambeth racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and two majors for 32 minutes in penalty time. The Lancers had been averaging 25.0 minutes in penalties per game. Lambeth's offense rang up 36 shots on Exeter's net.

Lambeth also got points from Ryan Pennington, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Smith, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Clark, who also registered one goal and three assists. Lambeth also got a goal from Kale Corbeth as well. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Austin Blais, Nick North, and Randy Hicks, who contributed one a piece.

The Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 40 minutes in penalties during the game.

Exeter was led by Kalvin Thornton, who had one goal and one assist. Thornton scored on the power play 14:34 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Lambeth. Robert Campbell provided the assist. Joe Dykstra also scored for Exeter. More assists for Exeter came via Trevor Thornton and Jake Harrison, who each chipped in one.

Logan Ferrington recorded 27 saves for the Lancers. Lambeth registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Team's Golinowski and Nick Griffin were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Dylan Hoover made 30 saves for the Hawks on 36 shots. Exeter registered two goals on eight power play opportunities.
